However, after a good friend of mine recommended group fitness, Les Mills Body Pump, I gave it a shot. That means, I aim to increase the maximum weight on the three big lifts – deadlift, bench press and squat (for more info about the differences between powerlifting, bodybuilding etc., click here). I don’t like labels and categories for myself but if I had to put a label on myself for what I do at the gym, it’d be “ powerlifting“. ![]() If you are following me on Instagram you might have noticed that my reps are somewhere between 1 and 3 per set.
